UNICEF AND UN OCHA ELECT ANYEA FOUNDATION PROJECT, BEST IMPLEMENTED PROJECT OF THE YEAR

After the presentation of the project during the education cluster meeting online by the project manager, it was rated among the best executed project by an education partner of UNICEF. Anyea was thus selected among other organisation by OCHA, to take part in a capacity building /training project organized by Lufmef and Reachout sponsored by the CANADIAN government with the aim of enhancing the capacities of CSOs to better protect their staff and affected populations.
Anyea was thus equipped with sufficient materials to adequately mainstream covid.19 in all her projects.
The project composed of:
Anyea covid 19 response plan in Anyajua and it’s environs.
The surfacing of covid-19 in late 2019 and early 2020 in Cameroon caused a halt in ANYEA project to provide educational materials to children in learning spaces in Anyajua. This Intentional drift of project was because of the menace that covid.19 was causing around us.
The project had as aimed
1. Trained Anyajua community health workers on some thematics related to covid.19 like what is it, how is transmitted, how to prevent, how to use material provided, the anthropological concept of covid.19, etc
2. Provide health promotion materials to the health workers.
3. Sensitized the population on covid 19.
4. Distribution of savons, facemasks to children and the old. and
5. Meeting functional youths groups in Anyajua for need assessment.
It should be noted that this was a self sponsored project by Anyea.
