History of ANYEA FOUNDATION

ANYAJUA YOUTHS EMPOWERMENT ASSOCIATIUION (ANYEA FOUNDATION) was founded in 2014 by young dynamic youths who had as dream to bring their own contributions to the development of their own communities (Anyajua). Judging from the observations they have carried out in their immediate environment, it became indispensable for them to come as one under the canopy of a legal structure to bridge the gap noticed within our communities. The youths are imbued with lots of talents to offer to the society. They have been relegated to the back stage of community activities and most decisions that have been arrive by the decision makers like elders, elites, government policy makers, did not incorporate the needs of the youths into their program and thus making the programs obsolete within the scope of the youths. More inclusive programmes could be carved out by decision makers if they were incorporating the youths into their tables of discussion as these youths are a strong driving force to reckon with.

Each community has its own challenges which are completely different based on each anthropological background. This was how a fraction of these youths from Anyajua, a second class village found in Belo Sub division thought of unifying their energy, resources to solve the problems of their people. The idea was nurse, the seed planted, the strategic plan of both the short term and long term drawn with all expectations of the dynamism that will abound as the association grows.

The journey that started as a joke started yielding its fruits as the organisation has noticed the gap among many surrounding communities, which lack leaders, lack civil societies organisations who could cater for the needs of their communities with a strong seal to institute its leadership multiplication schemes with each community empowered with sufficient leaders to lead youth led initiatives. The nomenclature of Anyajua Youths Empowerment Association limited the scope of the association as it was referred to be concentrated solely in Anyajua and thus discriminatory, not inclusive like it was ANYEA what invented the saying that says that … charity begins at home…. The strategic growth plan of ANYEA became now indispensable to broaden its scope to cover all aspects of humanitarian activities wherever the need arise especially where she has competencies or referred to partners using her established referral pathway.
